No Map

For the past couple of months, I have been working on a business project that has nothing to do with marketing consulting. Based on research out of my wife’s lab at UCSD, we have created a company to commercialize the gamified training that can improve attention and focus in children with autism and ADHD (www.brainleaptech.com). This project really excites me because of the number of children it can help... it is also harder than I expected.

While I have run Factor Four for 10 years and been involved in several start-ups, there is a lot of new territory for me. This includes raising capital, developing financial models, creating product roadmaps, and applying for SBIR grants. Because most of this is new to me, I don’t have a mental map of where I am going or the best path to get there.

That is why I am very happy to have guides. We have one advisor who has a business similar to ours, but not a direct competitor. Also, we have been accepted into the CONNECT Springboard program that helps businesses put together a credible business plan, so we can raise money. Since I have no map, I am reliant on our guides to help me figure out a path.

This is exactly what I do for clients who want to generate more leads. Yes, they may be experts in college planning, software development or organic landscaping, but they don’t have a map for how to generate a consistent flow of qualified leads.

Whenever you are entering new territory, it is extremely valuable to have a map or guide to figure out where you are going. If you would like a guide to help you figure out how to get a consistent flow of new leads, we would be happy to help. Just contact me to schedule a time.
